Services
Consultation
During your initial consultation we will discuss the benefits of having a birth doula and how it can be individualized to cater to your own unique experience. As your doula I will educate you on what exactly a doula does and how you will be supported throughout your birth journey.
Birth Planning
During your birth planning session we will discuss your wishes during labor and delivery such as comfort measures, interventions, and education. As your doula I will...help you feel confident and prepared for all kinds of outcomes knowing that you will make the best choices for you and your baby. I will respect your wishes and honor the unpredictable process of birth
Birth Doula
While providing services to you I will empower and support you throughout your birth journey. As your doula I will...offer you my full support during times of vulnerability and celebrate with you in times of strength.
Lactation Support
We will discuss breastfeeding options as well as non breastfeeding. As your doula I will... discuss and assist with latching, feeding, and milk supply.
2 Postpartum follow-up visits
During postpartum visits we will discuss any questions or concerns that you may have, as well as provide emotional support. As your doula I will... identify signs of postpartum depression, and assist with adjusting to being home with a newborn
As a Doula, I Do Not:
Perform any clinical tasks
I am not trained in any medical speciality or practicing as a healthcare professional. My scope of practice is limited to providing support, comfort measures, encouragement, and education.
Community Referrals
Provide you with education and resources. As your doula I will.... provide you with education and information as well as helping you learn about the birthing process so that you can make choices that are in alignment with your values and belief.
Make decisions for you
I will help you obtain the necessary information to make your own informed decisions. I will also alert you to any changes to the birth plan that was created so that you can be aware and make changes as necessary.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will discuss your concerns with YOU, when asked I will suggest options as well as empower you and your partner to self advocate on you and your childs behalf.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
I understand that YOUR birth journey is unique and special to YOU and I will respect you and your wishes even if they are not my own.
